The Lion Greets Scorpio
“Hello, Scorpio. It’s great to see you—and because I am seeing you, I know you made it back up. That is heroic. I know your journey is one most don’t want to take all the way through. They do all kinds of things to escape it but look at you now!”
“It’s something to be here,” replied Scorpio. “It has been beyond deep, muddy and murky, dark and strange at every turn. I can’t tell you how many times I got stuck, lost, bereft, and plain old tired. Yet I could always regenerate. It is my specialty.
“This last leg, though, to the crack-through to the bottom, was a real trick. Every part of me ached, inside and out. It felt like I was dying, and part of me wanted to quit, but some other part pushed me further down. And just as I was sure I had made it, I hit a wall. The bottom, the turning point, was right on the other side of that wall. I was starting to panic.”

The Breakthrough
I heard a voice through my panic say, “Open your hand.” My hands were clutched tight. I opened my left hand and felt a book. I sensed it was Star Sparks, opened to the degree Scorpio 25. The Chandra symbol read: A doctor experiments on himself with new drugs.
I sat at the wall with this frequency. I absorbed it. I listened deep inside. I felt it roaring through me. I was in a depths-and-shadow review—almost like a life review. It stung in places still.
I thought, How could I get this far and still have this sting? I let it go and kept my awareness sharp, no longer flinching. After quite a time, I looked at the wall and said, “I get it—and it has taken lifetimes. Today is the day I stop being my own battleground.” The wall shook.
Scorpio continued, “To forgive is only part of the journey. The other is to truly accept and embody the medicine the journey brings. This can only happen at Core.” The wall shook harder.
I kept going: “While transformation can be studied, it has to be lived. It has to be faced. We must endure the sting, gather the poison, and alchemize it—for it then becomes our greatest power.”
A sense of peace flooded Scorpio. A sense of presence anchored inside. Gratitude swirled all around her as she laughed in relief and joy.
Scorpio thought, What a trip—literally.
In this cocoon of acceptance and peace, she rested her head on the wall. And in her next breath, the wall slid open and Scorpio crossed the threshold. She did it!
