The Architecture of Direction

There are many dimensions through which a natal chart can speak. Planets ebb and flow like tides through our lifetime while cycles and rhythms expand us through transits, returns, and progressions. Degree frequencies map the subtle weather of the soul. Constellations breathe through the signs as cosmic intelligence, and so much more.

Yet when all of this is stripped back, there is an architecture woven inside the chart that influences every twist and turn—two points that speak with clarity and recognize what the soul already carries as destiny: the Nodes. Within that clarity lives a deep remembering aligned with cellular memory to alchemically stir what has been waiting to further rise inside.

The South Node carries what was: previous gifts and talents, the patterns mastered and unmastered, the identities we once claimed, transformational gold for the North Node, the karmic posture that feels familiar, and what may have been left unfinished. It is mostly the gravity of the past.

The North Node whispers where the soul is asking to grow, the edge where becoming breaks open, where evolution strains toward its next expression of destiny. It is the spiritual direction of this lifetime.

In this two-night Zoom gathering this November, as the current Pisces North Node calls us forward, John will help us recognize the sacred intelligence of the Nodal Axis as sculptor, teacher, and compass of the soul.

 The Sculptors at Work

We begin by entering the karmic arc of the South Node, a direct indicator of past lives and their continued influence in this incarnation. It is our soul’s memory of where we have already been, what we have experienced, and what has not yet been fully metabolized into wisdom but returns for the alchemy.

From there we turn toward the North Node, the soul’s directional current of destiny’s emergence in this lifetime. At first it is a back-and-forth, a tentative peeking out from beneath the familiar at the unknown, until eventually the soul is ready to throw the covers off and anchor in a new field of possibilities. One might say the North Node’s wings are opening as her roots take hold in fertile soil.

And finally, we come to the Nodal Axis bridge between them — the living weave where the past is not left behind, but re-patterned and released into becoming, the swinging hinge through which the soul turns its history into evolution — a kind of fresh-air evolution, where what was sealed, stagnant, or backed up can finally breathe again, and now they can play like two friends under the warm sun.
